Project Releve was started by founder-director Katerina Fedotova and is taught by Leading Teacher and Principal Company Member Marissa Smith! Project Releve has allowed me to share my love and joy of dance with younger students between the ages of 2.5 - 7yrs. Here are a few of the reasons I have found this program beneficial and a vital part of the culture to students in the Orlando Community.
1 ) This program is offered on a Sunday, which allows parents who live a busy lifestyle during the week to try out new programs. With 45 min drop-in classes once a month, this gives the perfect opportunity to try and fun and new activity without fully committing. Since this program is also free, we do cap classes out at a maximum of 10 students due to Covid-19. This allows our staff to safely work with the students and create a safe environment and atmosphere for children.
2) Teaching Project Releve has allowed me to share my passion and love for dance with students who may have not been able to take dance otherwise. Whether it being a hectic schedule or financial reason, we are here to give all students professional ballet classes and training to all. My dedication to the students is all equal. We believe every student should have an opportunity to learn and grow in a safe, professional environment. With these being shorter classes, your student will get a taste of what Russian Ballet has to offer.
3) Lastly, offering these classes to the Orlando community allows our youth to experience the culture, the arts, and discipline. Almost every person I have talked to has danced at least once in their life or has had a passion to dance at one point. This is the perfect gateway to give that chance and allow a passion to grow and blossom. I started ballet at age 4 and fell in love with it at age 7!
