Katerina Fedotova is the daughter of Principal Dancers and Artistic Directors, Vadim Fedotov and Irina Depler. Born and raised in Ukraine, Kiev, Katerina's professional training began at the age of 9 at the Kiev Ballet Conservatory under the direction of Natalya Shitikova and Larisa Obovskaya. In 1997, her family moved to the United States and her parents became her trainers and motivators. Katerina earned a principal title in the company at the age of 17 and toured performing around the world in 5 different continents and over 35 countries worldwide. Becoming an uprising young choreographer, Mrs. Fedotova has choreographed her own versions of Swan Lake, Carmen, Esmeralda, La Bayadere, Nutcracker, Toy Show, Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and restaged Coppelia, Snow White, and Cinderella.
She has choreographed for other schools and companies around the world, this season is her 4th trip to Cairo, Egypt to Choreograph, coach, and as Artistic Director advisor for the largest school in Egypt, consisting of 700+ kids.
In 2000 Fedotov family opened their first studio at the Plaza Theater in Downtown Orlando. The second location was opened in 2003 in Winter Springs, and Katerina was titled School Director of both locations. In 2008, Katerina was nominated as President of RBO. In 2009 she took over the Downtown location and in a short 4 years later expanded it into a state of the art, two story, 4 studio, 8,000 sq location in the heart of Orlando.
Accomplishments of Russian Ballet Orlando were led and guided by Katerina's knowledge and passion for the art of Ballet. RBO stands out from every other ballet school and company based on the Vaganova's ballet training technique, positive environment and performance opportunities that are offered by Mrs. Fedotova.
